Verdict

FIRST CLASS FAVOUR takes a sharp drop in class and is hard to oppose in a race where Molly Mylenis and Madam Markievicz may give her most to do. Tim Easterby's filly made a pleasing debut behind a useful sort at Doncaster and showed the benefit of that experience when running on well to score over the minimum at Catterick. Connections then stepped her up into Listed company where she acquitted herself well in finishing in midfield in the Hilary Needler Trophy, beaten just over three lengths. The Beverley race may not be the strongest Black Type contest but it's still surprising to see the daughter of Exceed And Excel dropped into plating class. Molly Mylenis had been performing well until Thirsk which was too bad to be true but she has claims on the pick of her form and Madam Markievicz has run well in similar contests the last twice but none of Eilean Mor, Crimson Knot, Kheya and Gartsherrie can be confidently ruled out if First Class Favour fails to fire.
