Verdict

With six winners from just eighteen juveniles to have run here over the past five seasons Richard Fahey is clearly the man to follow and his POLAR KITE may prove too strong for Residence And Spa, Falkland Flyer and a couple of interesting newcomers. Polar Kite gave a few problems at the start at Haydock but belied his starting price to run a race full of promise in third; the form has taken a few knocks with the second, fourth and fifth home all getting beaten next time but a couple of them did go close so it may be a little better than first glance suggests. The extra furlong on offer today should suit and normal improvement should see him go close. Residence And Spa was beaten ten lengths on debut but his performance is better than that bare fact suggests and it was an encouraging debut for the gelding who shaped as though he'll relish this stiffer test. Falkland Flyer should also benefit from being stepped up in trip whilst Domino Effect and Swift Alhaarth both look the part on paper so would have to be feared if the market were to give out the right vibes but Polar Kite gets the nod.
