Stevie Gee should be able to repel the challenges of Skhilling Spirit and Cha Cha Cha and score for the second time this year. The selection won three times as a juvenile but was allotted a high rating as a result and struggled thereafter. The handicapper has gradually relented and he bounced back to form when winning over this trip at Doncaster. He hit the woodwork when dropped back to six last time to confirm his well being but will be better suited by this test. Skhilling Spirit is also well handicapped on his old form and showed more last time than he has for some time. He's entitled to win this race on the best of his form but last season's evidence suggests that he cannot be relied upon so he's passed over despite that latest run. Two of Cha Cha Cha's three wins have come over course and distance and this consistent filly comes here in decent heart but there have been signs of late that the handicapper has her measure and she probably needs to find a little improvement. This is by no means a penalty kick but Stevie Gee should be able to convert this chance.
