A very strong renewal but everything points to another Mike De Kock victory via the classy MUSIR. The 2010 UAE Derby winner was trained for the World Cup last season and ran reasonably well in the event but it was an earlier second to Twice Over that points to his chances. He won a Group 2 in Turkey on his final start last year and might just be more forward than Mendip. Frankie's mount was behind Musir in the Derby here when receiving 11lb weight for age but was in brilliant form last year winning this race before ending with a decent effort in the Dubai Duty Free. Fanunalter finished a close third in the Group 2 Zabeel Mile last March and ran really well in all four subsequent starts, particularly when less than a length behind Dick Turpin in the Summer Mile at Ascot. The four-times Brazil Group 1 winner Xin Xu Lin had just one run here last year and is the type to go well at this season's Carnival while Derbaas will have come on for last week's run behind Mahbooba and won a Group 2 here last year. Ed Vaughan's Dance And Dance is a cracking good miler and though having his first start on the surface has proved himself very versatile. Mike De Kock also runs Master Of Hounds, touched off in a Group 2 on his Dubai debut in the UAE Derby when trained by Aidan O'Brien and subsequently behind in the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes, both on a Dirt surface which didn't suit.
