Frankie Dettori has some good rides today including Naqshabban, who has plenty of talent but isn't straightforward judged on a couple of wayward runs last summer. Goldplated had looked a progressive type before finding the opposition in Doncaster's Group 2 Park Hill Stakes too strong and the trip too far and she can make her mark but Ottoman Empire's form is much better on Polytrack so it's a surprise to see him returning from a long absence on Turf. Fiery Lad has a very long absence to overcome while Emirates Champion, who has won three times here, is much better on the Tapeta surface. GLEN'S DIAMOND has won four times for Richard Fahey including last year's Dee Stakes at Chester. He hasn't been seen since a poor effort in the King Edward VII Stakes at Ascot where the soft ground was all against him and he can make a winning return to action.
