In depth

Verdict

It is never easy for horses under penalties in bumpers and Lindbergh Law may struggle to give weight and a beating to Silver Bow, who gets the vote ahead of the newcomer Silver Sparrow. The last mentioned has run in an Irish point-to-point and Peter Bowen's colt could be interesting if the market speaks in his favour. The other debutant Thorn of The Rose is a Terimon half-sister to a staying novice hurdler, while Double Measure showed a modicum of ability over course and distance first time out and has to be respected. Lindbergh Law has claims on the form shown when winning at Sedgefield and again when chasing home Zumrah at Aintree but, in receipt of 17lbs, the vote goes to Silver Bow. Malcolm Jefferson's filly showed plenty of promise on her debut at Uttoxeter earlier this month and is taken to make the most of the weight that she receives.
