    Verdict

Brown Teddy gets the nod over Major Euro, with Kjetil and Ball O Malt others to consider. Brown Teddy has been placed twice on each of his last two starts, including behind Saintsaire at Bangor where the margin was only two lengths. Considering that the winner was rated 140 over hurdles, that was no mean performance by Richard Ford's charge, who won a beginners' chase at Kelso on the only other occasion that Tony Dobbin has ridden him. He can make the most of the weight that he receives from Ball O Malt who was a faller in the Jewson at Cheltenham. He has bled from the nose in the past and his only win over fences came over two miles, so he can be taken on. Major Euro could be a danger judged on his fluent success over the course and distance last time, and Ludlow winner Kjetil needs to improve after being pulled up at Wincanton. A good little race can go the way of Brown Teddy.
