This is a competitive race to open the card and Karminskey Park, Strensall and Massey look to be the leading players with the vote given to the first mentioned. The selection is on a handy mark at present and she ran as though her turn was about to come when a close second behind Attorney at Lingfield last time. That form has since been franked and she looks the one to beat. Strensall was disappointing towards the end of last season but he is a tough and genuine sort and he is dropped to his optimum trip here. He could go well but others are preferred today. Massey was a good second behind Old Bailey last time but this is a tougher race and he hasn't won for over a year so he can't be backed with any confidence. Penel is in good form and is another with place claims, but Karminskey Park looked like one to stay on the right side of last time and she is taken to score.
