Martin Pipe certainly wants to make sure that he clinches the trainers' championship as he saddles no less than 10 runners here, and if Commercial Flyer turns out yet again for a third time in the space of three days, he may prove the answer ahead of stablemates Escompteur and Anatar to name but three. This is a thankless task trying to read Pipe's mind, but Commercial Flyer is certainly at the top of his game at present, and it would be no surprise if he were to defy a five-pound penalty. He took it up at the second last at Perth on Friday and simply annihilated the opposition, so will go close to making it three wins in three days. Escompteur was put in his place by Napolitain at Perth the other day but at the age of five remains one to keep on the right side of. Anatar was tailed off at the Cheltenham Festival and is better than that, while Medison is out to atone after being a beaten favourite at Aintree, but ran a stinker here yesterday. Inch Pride had the look of a good thing at Perth on Thursday but found one too good, and completes the list of the more fancied Nicolashayne team. Of the rest, Yes Sir made all at Chepstow in March and has the assistance of Tony McCoy who rides plenty of winners for Peter Bowen. Tighe Caster has been put up a stone for two earlier wins, but will at least appreciate the step up in trip here and could well make the frame, but Commercial Flyer can get Pipe off to a good start.
