    Verdict

A tight betting heat on paper with marginal TEAMtalk preference for Bitter Sweet. John Spearing's mare has been in fine form of late finishing runner-up on her last two starts in handicaps at Huntingdon and Worcester. The daughter of Deploy has been raised 10lb as a consequence but there may be more to come particularly over this slightly longer trip. Cobbet showed progressive form last season to win on three occasions and was also placed in better company than this but looks weighted up to his best at present and lacks a recent outing so looks worth opposing. Jamaican Flight had nine lengths to spare over Dabus when winning here late last month and can confirm the placings on 5lb worse terms but this represents a step up in grade and is likely to struggle in his follow up bid.
