Verdict

This is a good looking bumper for this time of year and MANITOBA has caught the eye on both his two runs to date and is taken to win the finale while both recent winners French Hollow and Dan Breen deserve respect. The selection has finished second over course and distance on both his two runs to date. In each run he has not been beaten far and the fact that his closest rivals both have penalties to carry he has an excellent chance of breaking his maiden tag. French Hollow is a four year old with a penalty to carry having won over course and distance on his debut. Whether he is good enough and mature enough to follow on from that win remains to be seen but he does warrant plenty of respect. Dan Breen showed dramatic improvement form his debut run over in Ireland back in April to score first time for his new connections at Newton Abbot. He comes from a powerful yard that do well at this track so any support in the market should be noted. Manitoba has run two fine races and is given the vote to win the finale.
