Verdict

BLACK JACARI is well treated at the weights and is taken to land this race ahead of Dead Or Alive and Right Option. The Alan King trained four year old had won twice on the level but has not been easy to win with over hurdles. He did however win at Fontwell in June on his seventh attempt. He was unable to get the better of the improving Benetwood in a valuable handicap at this venue over two miles but should benefit for this step up in trip. He looks the class act in the race and if at his best is difficult to oppose. Dead Or Alive has won three times over fences this season but now looks a little exposed. He won back to back races at Plumpton and Huntington and won off a career high mark of 118 at Worcester in June. Although he is officially rated five pounds less over hurdles he still has a bit to find on the selection. Right Option carries a penalty for winning at Newton Abbot last month. He has been running consistently well this summer but he may struggle to give weight to his rivals on this occasion. Black Jacari looks well treated and is given the vote to land this competitive event.
