TOSS THE CABER has been knocking on the door of late and that door can finally swing wide open for him in the opener with both North Walk and Thistle posing as the likely dangers. The selection is well treated at the weights and has rarely been out of the frame of late. He was a good second behind What's Up Doc at Uttoxater in a similar grade race last time out and if he recaptures that form he is sure to be in contention come the business end of the race once again. North Walk has already won twice in selling grade this season but he disappointed when sent off favourite at Stratford last time out and it may well be that he is in need of break having been kept busy since May. Thistle won a novice hurdle at Towcester last April and looked a horse with a future. Although he has run some fair races in defeat thereafter he has proved to be inconsistent and should be treated with some caution. Toss The Caber on the other hand has been a model of consistency and deserves to get his head in front.
