An official rating of 83 might just flatter Fine Sight so in a cracking looking maiden we are happy to side with potential improver HYPNOTIZED ahead of Lay Claim and newcomer Mureb. Michael Bell's Elusive Quality colt was a 25/1 chance on debut at Leicester but shaped with some promise after a tardy start. He cost $110,000, is related to horses who have done well on an artificial surface in America, and is expected to step up on that first run from a good draw in stall two. Lay Claim went down by a whisker on debut at Newbury and was subsequently all the rage for his next start at York. In a quality maiden he was beaten into fourth however with the winner hacking up since off a mark of 76, and two others from the race running well in defeat subsequently, the form of the contest looks solid. Govern has been well-fancied on two runs so far but was fairly readily held at Folksetone last time out behind Bint Doyen. He was too keen on that occasion and will need to settle better if he is to improve on that effort today. Fine Sight returns to seven furlongs and must go close if running to the level of his Haydock second in July, Branagh is open to plenty of improvement after one promising run at HQ and is a half-brother to the Group One winner Lord Shanakill, whilst Mureb cost a paltry $500,000 and is related to loads of winners. His dam was able to win over this trip as a two-year-old and he looks an obvious contender. A fantastic maiden in store and our eyes will be transfixed on Hypnotized.
