TAE KWON DO is preferred to Straitjacket and Woolston Ferry. This looks something of a minefield for punters to negotiate and the selection is nominal at best. Ed Dunlop's charge showed promise on each of his first two starts with the second coming in a five furlong maiden at this track that was won by a fair sort. He ran below that level of form last time but may fare better now handicapping. Straitjacket hasn't gone on from a promising debut but is another that may be seen to better effect in this sphere and the blinkers may have a positive effect. Woolston Ferry has contested some fair contests and is weighted accordingly but he may find some improvement for this first venture beyond six furlongs. Rocket Rob is progressing well but needs to keep doing so if he's to complete his hat-trick in a tougher contest. Mymateeric ran well in a valuable but modest sales race at the weekend and several of the others have hinted that they possess ability as well. Whether they can deliver on that or not is another matter entirely but Tae Kwon Do is taken to do so. (Ian Ogg)
