Action Impact and Gracechurch have to be respected but today may be the day that FANTASY CRUSADER finally gets his head in front. Action Impact is the obvious starting point having landed a gamble on his all-weather debut and having added another success on that surface last time. That came from an 8lb lower mark than today's and his course and distance effort on his penultimate start was disappointing. He has a little to prove on turf as a result although he does meet Muffet's Dream and Fantasy Crusader on better terms. Gracechurch is running really well at present and finished a couple of lengths in front of Fantasy Crusader at Brighton on ground that may have been a shade softer than ideal. He's run well over this course and distance and seems sure to be involved. The selection hasn't won for a year and has something to find with Ron Hodges' runner but he's handicapped to get his head in front once again and it's just possible that things might fall right for him today. Royal Indulgence is racing from the same mark as when taking this prize last year and merits consideration but we'll take a chance with Fantasy Crusader. (Ian Ogg)
