Quite a few of these are probably capable of a good deal better than they have shown so far; the market may help clear the muddy waters but without that knowledge we'll take MASTER LIGHTFOOT to open his account, perhaps at the main expense of Fleeting Star and Belated Silver. Tom Dascombe's runner was very well backed ahead of his debut in a modest Bath maiden but fluffed his lines completely. He will know more now and it will be interesting to see if his connections come back for more. The selection was another to leave punters with their fingers burnt having been backed from around 20-1 down to 17-2 at Sandown. That appeared to be a fair contest on paper and he should improve for the experience. Fleeting Star was short in the market ahead of her debut at York that was won by a subsequent Listed winner with a Group 3 winner in second. Jeremy Noseda has an excellent record with his two year olds at this venue. Dannios, Louidor, Dance Club, Nizhoni Dancer and Phoenix Enforcer are all others that interest us but we'll be hoping that Master Lightfoot is fleet of foot and can lead them home. (Ian Ogg)
