It is unusual for Marcus Tregoning to have a runner at this level and as such, is a tip in itself. Night Warrior, from the same family as Champion Stakes winner Legal Case, has obviously been something of a disappointment, but he takes a drop in class here and should make no mistake. The main danger should be Northern raider Key Oneothree, who remains a maiden, but does have plenty of form at this level and as there is plenty of stamina on the dams side, there is every reason to believe she could well improve for the step up in trip. Downtherefordancin is another who has plenty of form at this level, but this is a big step up in trip for him and it smacks of desperation more than anything else.
