Several well bred individual's contest, what looks a fair maiden. None more so than than Westerly Air, who is out of a mare that was first past the post in the 1991 Group 1 Fillies Mile, only to be disqualified. He went off third favourite on his debut at Windsor, a race won by his stablemate. He wasn't knocked about that day, and can repay the kindness shown there by landing this. No shortage of dangers including Armandus, who has the best form on offer, having been beaten less than two lengths by Bourbonnais, in the Listed Acomb Stakes last year. That form has been made to look very good by the winner, who has since finished third in the UAE 2000 Guineas and a not disgraced 5th in the UAE Derby. Golden Dual, a half-brother to the high-class Naheef, should do better as a three-year-old, but his future looks to lie in handicaps, while newcomer Promoter, although lacking any fancy entries, is one to keep an eye on for the future.
