King Triton was a comfortable winner on his belated return at Plumpton recently and, provided that he does not bounce, Hugh Morrison's gelding looks to have solid claims of following up with the main threats looking to be Jolly Boy and Hiho Silver Lining. The last mentioned has shown signs of ability and ran with credit on his debut in this grade last time but he may need some help from the handicapper. Cleopatras Therapy ran better at Chepstow last time but he is hard to back on the evidence of that one encouraging effort, while Friendly Request has shown little sign of optimism of late. Jolly Boy lost little in defeat at Warwick last time and may do better back over this longer trip but a reproduction of last time out form would make King Triton hard to beat and he is preferred.
