      Verdict

Silkwood showed some guts on her debut and it would be disappointing if there is not more to come now in a handicap off 77 and she gets the nod ahead of Troialini, Nassman, Fever, and Zar Solitario. The selection stayed on well when beating a Mark Johnston inmate (won easily off 76 since) on her debut and should appreciate the extra furlong today as she was outpaced slightly on her debut. Zar Solitario represents Mr Johnston today and is progressive, stepping up to win his maiden easily last time out. In the Sheikh Mohammed colours he rates a danger, along with Troialini who lost nothing in defeat behind a Johnston horse last time out. In any other race he would look the likely winner, but today's heat may just be slightly too hot. Fever is returning from a break and should appreciate this step up in trip, whilst Personal Column is a course and distance winner so warrants respect. Love Brothers could go well at a price now back up in trip but on his all-weather debut the percentage call must be to oppose, and so we will return to Michael Jarvis' Silkwood to continue on her upward curve.
