Making it onto the short list here are Escape Route, Subadar and Mystic Dancer, with the vote going to Subadar. John Gosden's Bergonzi cost 190,000 euros but will have to show more than he did on his debut in order to feature today. A better option for the stable, however, seems to be the 190,000 dollar son of Elusive Quality, Escape Route, who could well go well on his debut. Subadar's third to subsequent winner Ekhtiaar over course and distance reads as very good form in the context of this race, and he looks set to be a major player today. Botham will also need to show more than he did on his debut, although today's surface will probably help. Leon Knights was not beaten far on his debut, while Mystic Dancer showed plenty of promise when fifth on his racecourse debut and very much comes into the reckoning. Polish World cost 550,000 dollars but is another that needs to leave his debut behind him, and, finally, it would not entirely be a surprise to see the 82,000 euros purchase Three Half Crowns show up on his debut. Overall, though, the vote goes to Subadar.
