Verdict
The three for the short list are Sunlight, Gold Hush and Mystery River, with the selection being Sunlight. Sunlight ran a very good race to finish second on her Newmarket debut and this half-sister to eight winners looks set to play a leading part in the contest. Gold Hush showed some promise on her course and distance debut and, even though the form is solid if unspectacular, she can improve on that and go well. Mystery River was third to the subsequently Group-placed Puggy on her latest start and ran well on soft going last time. Her overall form makes her a leading player today. Elyaadi has plenty to like on breeding and, even though she will come into her own over middle distances next season, she could go well. Final Curtain showed some promise on soft on her debut, while Full Of Promise cost 190,000 dollars and has to be of some interest. Finally, Tinnarinka needs to improve on what she has so far shown in order to score. Once again, then, the vote goes to Sunlight.
