An interesting stayers' contest to conclude the card and Red Petal can step up to the mark and prove too good for locally trained Daring Racer, Tavalu and Jack Dawson. Sir Mark Prescott does extremely well with the runners he steps up to these extreme distances and Red Petal can add another to his tally. The filly has shown the stamina for 12f already in her career and given that this is not a strong race Seb Sanders can ride her to get the trip and score. Daring Racer went close over 12f at Kempton last time and off a 1lb higher mark he should again be very competitive. Tavalu took a Fontwell chase when last seen on the racecourse and has been runner up over this trip on his last two starts on the flat. A 1lb higher mark should not make a major difference to his chances, which look pretty good. Of the remainder Jack Dawson is 2lb higher than when winning over 1m 6f at Yarmouth last August and enjoys a real test, but top weight again makes him vulnerable and we prefer Red Petal to record another staying win for her master trainer.
