Sir Haydn is taken to follow up his recent victory at the expense of Burgundy, Barton Sands and Western Roots, with Lara Falana worth a mention as well. This appears to be the the most competitive race of the day on paper, and one in which Sir Haydn can benefit from the assistance of Eddie Ahern in the saddle. The Irishman was on board 11 days ago when the five-year-old held on well to withstand the late charge of Western Roots, and although the latter is marginally better off at the weights this time, the feeling is that he will again find the line coming too soon. In addition Sir Haydn should hold Barton Sands who was back in fifth, but he too has run right up to his form since and should be in at the finish along with Burgundy who in turn meets him on better terms than when just behind Andrew Reid's inmate four days ago. Lara Falana folded up in the closing stages when beaten by Plausabelle over a mile here eight days ago and is back over her best trip so is another to enter calculations, but for the winner we side with Sir Haydn who can shrug off a small rise in the weights.
