Ghadames returned to his best with an emphatic victory at Sedgefield last time and he can follow up today at the expense of Dabus and Edmo Heights. Richard Guest's eleven-year-old was coming back from injury in that contest and only had to be pushed out to beat Flake by ten lengths. He looks set to improve on that effort and should easily defy a seven pound penalty. Edmo Heights didn't jump too well on his seasonal debut and in the end finished a well beaten fifth behind Palua. He is much better than that form suggests and a big run can be expected despite top weight. Dabus was successful over the hurdles course here last November and has run consistently well in chases since, he should be capable of making the frame. Dual winner El Bandito looks best of the remainder, but Ghadames looks the pick of the weights and can make it back to back victories
