Another wide open handicap in which many can be given chances including the luckless Altay who was disqualified last time out and is taken to gain compensation. The Richard Fahey trained gelding won with plenty in hand on that occasion here and although he has gone up the weights and this is more competitive, a reproduction of that form would see him go close. High Hope rates the main danger as he is a course and distance winner who was a good second off this mark behind Compton Commander last time and is from a yard in good form. Adjawar is also worthy of consideration. He is well in on his turf form and if handling the surface, should go well at a fair price with the booking of Steve Drowne catching there eye. Theatre was behind High Hope last time when third behind Compton Commander, however he did not have the clearest of runs on that occasion and there should not be much between them again. Fiddlers Creek has been in fine form of late but is shooting up the weights and although he has won at Wolverhampton he has no experience of this surface. Of the remainder, Paragon Of Virtue is from a yard in form and won well last time out but he has never won off a mark this high.
