Step In Line is taken to see off Landucci and Princess Valerina. The selection was well placed on debut as the handicapper can only base his decision to allocate his figure on the basis of perennial runner-up Cassiara. There is likely to be more to come in the future and while this represents a much tougher assignment, there appears to be plenty of scope. Landucci has been thereabouts in his last three starts. A drop to seven looks tailor made. Princess Valerina is very much the unexposed type in the field. Barry Hills' filly has only had one all-weather start but her turf foRm includes a solid effort behind Cambridgeshire second, Docofthebay. H Harrison has a fair position from the stalls and is likely to give supporters a big run for their money at the likely odds. Desert Dreamer has to be respected as he hails from an in-form yard. Six-furlong specialist, Golden Desert appears best of the rest. Step In Line looks the pick in an intriguing contest.
