Langford has been in good form of late and can go in again ahead of Balavista, Cesare and Sew 'n' so Character. Another contest in which three or four have more claims than most, and the one we like is Langford. The Mark Tompkins inmate kept the pot boiling when battling home to beat Cross Time at Doncaster 18 days ago, having earlier made all over the same course and distance. In between that he was only just denied by Hadrian at Epsom, and a good run here will advertise the claims of that one at Haydock tonight. Cesare would appear to have obvious claims, having won both starts this term, at Leicester and Ripon, but the going was on the soft side both times, as it was when he won at Beverley last year, so will he find the Polytrack too fast? Balavista has not had much racing despite being a four-year-old now, so remains open to improvement, and could be a big danger, while of the rest, Sew 'n' so Character may stay on late for a place. Langford makes most appeal though.
