Coburn can step up on his debut to beat the likes of Martian Glow, Hill of Grace and Glenrowan. Coburn was though good enough to be sent off as favourite on his Windsor debut back in April, and given his breeding, did well to finish as close as he did in fifth to subsequent scorer Crocodile Bay over that minimum trip. The fact that he stayed out in the centre did not help his cause that day, and over this longer trip he can make amends. Martian Glow was also beaten by a Jamie Osborne inmate, Shermeen, on his racecourse introduction at Leicester, and gave another good account when third at Newmarket. She makes slightly more appeal than Hill of Grace who raced much too keenly at Doncaster when sent off favourite. Glenrowan is beautifully-bred, being related to Diminuendo on the dam's side, and will be of interest when upped in trip. They are the main contenders than, and for the winner we return to Coburn.
