In depth

Verdict

Shunkawakhan deserves to get his head in front after some consistent performances but he has had no respite from the handicapper and preference is for Witchingham, who gets the vote over Shaheer. The last mentioned has been running well on turf of late, handles the Polytrack well and cannot be discounted in a competitive finale. Mythical Charm is capable but inconsistent, while Almahaza has more to do than when landing a Windsor seller last time. Al Rayanah could do with some help from the handicapper and a better bet may be Richard Hannon's lightly raced Witchingham, who may improve for the drop back in trip and he gets the vote.
