Abbeygate can get the better of Height Of Spirits, with Mycenean Prince and Oasis Sun seen as likely dangers. This looks pretty tricky in truth, and Abbeygate can only be a tentative choice on past efforts. Tom Keddy's charge has not won since scoring on the Wolverhampton Polytrack in April 2006, but has run the odd decent race, and is pretty low in the ratings these days. Height Of Spirits was only narrowly beaten by Postmaster here in March, but the big worry is his ability to last out the 10-furlong trip. Mycenean Prince is still a maiden after 28-starts but has shaped fairly well of late, while Oasis Sun will not mind the trip, but has gone off the boil of late. Abbeygate is the pick.
