Apply Dapply can make the most of the weight that she receives from Damika to land the spoils, with Titus Lumpus, Patavium Prince and Simpson's Ross making for a close-knit handicap. Apply Dapply was pulled out of a prior engagement when fancied one day last week, and as long as she has been kept on the boil, can follow up her comeback win over Sunderland Echo at Ponterfract. That was on heavy going, but the latter came out to frank the form next time, and with the going described as good on the Turf course today, it should not be too fast for Hugh Morrison's filly who does not look too badly treated for her handicap debut. She gets weight off Damika who has a 6lb penalty to carry for a recent success at Newcastle where Sunderland Echo was well behind. That line of form gives the topweight a squeak here but we feel that the selection will improve a few pounds, enough to come out on top. Titus Lumpus was given a most positive ride by Fergus Sweeney when scoring over a mile here last time. The drop back in trip will suit, but his draw in stall 16 is a worry. Patavium Prince and Simpson's Ross are others that make it on to the short-list, but the selection has to be Apply Dapply.
