Verdict
European Dream can race off the same mark as when an easy winner of a Newcastle handicap at the beginning of the month and is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Dark Islander and Easy Air. The last mentioned has won both of his starts on Lingfield's Polytrack, latterly in a handicap, and has to be respected on his turf debut under ground conditions that should suit; however, this looks tough so he may be best watched. Champions Gallery can be expected to benefit from the run as most of the yard's horses have seemingly needed their first run of the season, while Collateral Damage would need to improve on his reappearance effort to trouble the judge but does come from a yard in form. Tom Tate's Silidan and Richard Hannon's Song Of Passion are both lightly raced and could be of interest if fit enough for their first runs of the campaign but a bigger threat is likely to come from John Hills' race-fit Dark Islander, who should strip fitter for his reappearance. European Dream has an obvious chance at the weights though and gets the vote.
