In depth

Verdict

See In The Dark has posted two good efforts and can make that count against King's Bastion and newcomer Aggbag. The latter hails from a stable that once again seems to have some smart youngsters, and this son of Fath has been well entered up this week, so any support for Mark Wallace's debutante would be interesting. However, See In the Dark looks the percentage call based on his two efforts at Newbury and Folkestone. The plain fact is that Brian Meehan's gelding was beaten by an above average performer in the shape of Karayel at Folkestone last time, and it would be unfortunate for that to happen two times in a row. He should make amends here, with perhaps King's Bastion the biggest danger. He was the stable's first juvenile runner of the season when fourth of six in a class 4 maiden at Newmarket last month, and this ease in grade is an interesting move by connections. The market should be closely noted, but we shall keep faith with See In The Dark.
