      Verdict

A typically open sprint handicap with a number of in-form rivals in opposition including Vanderlin. Ian Balding's charge has hit a rich vein of form of late and followed up an impressive maiden win with victory over a large field of handicappers at Salisbury and should go well despite his penalty. Nemo Fugat is improving and was awarded a useful event on his Newmarket return but, along with the in-form Fire Up The Band, may struggle from a low draw. Online Investor gave notice of a good season ahead after finishing a gallant runner-up to the smart Mariinsky in Listed company at Haydock. The Puissance colt had a troubled run before staying on in good fashion and promises to do better over this extra furlong. Feet So Fast caused a shock when landing a backend Newmarket maiden and arn most encouragingly behind Border Subject (won again since) on his Windsor return. Willie Musson's colt looks well drawn and should go well with further progress anticipated under Pat Eddery.
