dwelt, in rear, some headway over 1f out, nearest finish
chased leaders, headway and every chance final furlong, no extra inside final furlong
slowly into stride, always behind
refused to race, took no part
narrow leader until headed over 2f out, soon ridden and weakened
held up and behind, headway 2f out, chased leaders over 1f out, one pace
tracked leaders, headway over 1f out, led final furlong, driven out
behind, effort 2f out, weakened approaching final furlong
with leader until ridden and weakened 2f out, soon beaten
held up in touch, ridden 2f out, kept on final furlong, not trouble leaders
Former classy sprinter Lincoln Dancer has had many problems over the last couple of seasons and is not the force of old but showed that he is no back number when runner-up in the Victoria Cup late last month. He had Millennium Force behind in sixth but needs more cut in the ground while the latter is poorly drawn. Palanzo is stepped up in trip after a below-par effort last time but would have claims if able to reproduce his fourth behind Reel Buddy at Kempton while Wahj came back to form last time and this bold front runner should go well once again from a reasonable draw.
