Deposer created the impression this sort of trip would be ideal when he made a very pleasing start at Warwick a fortnight ago. Golden Destiny and True Decision are others to monitor in the betting, while Shangani is a newcomer worth keeping tabs on from here. True Decision is a half-brother to Stewards Cup-winner Pivotal Point and numerous other six furlong winners including Foreign Editor; so is bred to be very effective at this sort of distance. However, his trainer's two-year-olds have been below expectations this term and this fellow may just need one or two outings to put him in the picture. Golden Destiny was down the field in a fillies only race at Newbury 15 days ago; but still showed enough promise to be considered for a race of this nature. A market move for the Peter Makin-trained filly would be noteworthy. However, Deposer ¿ a heavily-framed individual ¿ looks sure to be suited by this sterner test of his stamina and, from a good draw near the rail; everything appears to be in place for a bold effort from John Best's charge.
