Missile Dodger is a strong fancy in this company. Kate The Great and Dedante are others to bear in mind, while Kheylide also has to be of interest; even though his latest start did not really create the impression that he was improving at a rate of knots. The drop in trip may be a help, though; and Kheylide (also entered at Pontefract on Tuesday) is still worth noting in the betting. Dedante was also below par last time out and comes here with a bit to prove. She does have plenty of pace, though; and is a likely contender to set a fair gallop from the start. Kate The Great was behind the selection when the met in the Windsor Castle Stakes at Royal Ascot last month and obviously has a bit to find on that evidence. However, this smaller field and less hectic environment can help her to reserve her energy; and the daughter of Xaar should not be dismissed. However, Missile Dodger is bred to be effective on an artificial surface and, having impressed when he won a maiden at Bath on his introduction, Ralph Beckett's colt is taken as the one to be on in this company
