In depth

Verdict

Lady Fantasie looks to have been found the perfect opportunity to get off the mark here. Ann Duffield's filly has contested some smart maidens throughout the early part of the season, showing good early pace in those events. The slight worry would be her ability to see out the minimum trip as she possess so much early dash that she appears to be struggling to see out her races but if she settles she should be able to land this. On all known form the only conceivable danger is Jethro Bodine, who despite been the outsider of five last time, was a real disappointment. His best effort to date was when he went down narrowly over six furlongs on his second start when trained by Tim Pitt. He showed plenty of early pace in that event although the form has not amounted to much. Of the remainder the Ed McMahon trained Casual Style, a Bahamian Bounty colt, would be of interest if attracting support given connections record with juveniles this season but the fact he commences in this company does not bode well. It is hard to make a case for any of the remainder and Lady Fantasie is the selection.
