DECEMBER DRAW should banish the maidens tag instead of Darwin's Dragon and Vodka Shot. The selection put in a pleasing debut at Great Leighs last time and showed plenty of ability. Had to put in a big effort after falling behind at the start but got the hang of things later to run well. He should come on heaps for that outing and looks the best one here. Darwin's Dragon has an official mark of 72 after some solid efforts in four starts so far. The colt's best effort came last time when finishing third of 10 against similar opposition but had to be roused along for that over a shorter trip so doubts remain about his ability over a mile. Vodka Shot has improved from each of his two efforts so far and more can be expected again while any money for James Fanshawes newcomer, Cluny, should be noted but the vote goes to December Draw.
