Verdict

ELECTRIC WARRIOR looks well placed to take this claimer ahead of Comrade Cotton and Makshoof. The pick is the highest rated horse in the race but further to that has shown some decent form in similar contests in his last few efforts. He won an uncompetitive race on his penultimate start before travelling well to land a place in his last run. This looks to be his standard and he should be the one to beat. Comrade Cotton has improvement to find on his rivals if the official ratings are anything to go by but his win in handicap company last time gives him a chance. Makshoof was running really well in handicaps before failing last time in a claimer. Polytrack doesn't seem to be his thing but if his talent on the turf appears finally he's in with more than a chance. Desert Dreamer is a consistent performer, who's one of the highest rated here, and is in with a shout while Smokey Rye beat the selection on his penultimate start so must be respected but the vote belongs to Electric Warrior.
