Royal Raider would have every chance if able to run up to his official BHA rating but the David Evans-trained filly has given little sign of troubling the judge since making a winning debut in this grade at Chepstow in June and a safer option looks to be COME ON BUCKERS, who gets the vote ahead of Readily. The last mentioned remains a maiden after eight starts but has run some reasonable races in defeat, including in claimers in his last two starts and she has to be respected. Cavendish Road and Tartan Turban may struggle under their respective penalties, while Fitz is less exposed than most after just two starts but probably needs to improve to trouble the judge. The consistent Elusive Ronnie and Lois Darlin, who ran better at Kempton on Wednesday last week, are others to consider but it is Come On Buckers that gets the vote. Ed Creighton's gelding ran well when chasing home Ridgeway Silver in a Wolverhampton nursery last time and a reproduction of that form may well suffice in this grade.
