RED HOT DESERT caught the eye on his most recent outing and gets the vote to go one better at the expense of Parc des Princes and Mr Plod. The selection was back to his best after finishing a close second to Gargano over course and distance last time out. He has been raised a further four pounds for his efforts which would appear a little harsh but he does look like an improver and if at his best he ought to take all the beating. Parc des Princes has won twice from ten starts to date and is now eights pounds higher in the weights since winning over course and distance last July. A lack of a run this season may well be a disadvantage but with luck in running he can run well. Mr Plod won nicely here last time out and has been raised four pounds for his efforts. He clearly like this surface and is another to add to the short list. Red Hot Desert is the form horse in the race and will prove difficult to beat.
