In this fillies' handicap, we will side with Zalimar, from a shortlist that contained Song Sparrow, Kiama, Cameron Orchid and Velvet Waters. Zalimar ran well against older horses at Windsor last time and that form is more than good enough to put her firmly in the shake-up today. Song Sparrow showed improvement for a step up in trip last time to today's distance and can improve again and get into the shake-up here. Kiama has also improved for the step up in trip and holds similar claims, and Cameron Orchid's maiden form is interesting enough to give her claims too. Of the older horses, Piquet is on a competitive mark, and Taminoula, whilst not as good as she once was, still holds place claims from her current mark. Best of the older horses, though, might prove to be Velvet Waters, who continues to run well without quite getting her head in front. She is respected but, overall, we will stick with the younger generation and side with Zalimar.
