Verdict

Sharps Gold and Fairly Honest are looking to back up recent Kempton successes here, but we prefer the claims of BOLD DIVA. Tony Carroll's filly will appreciate the step back up to a mile after finishing well over six furlongs last time out. She's the consistent sort who should have won more than once in 33 outings, and with Toby Atkinson claiming five pounds, she's got a pound in hand with the top weights. Sharps Gold won at 40-1 last time out in a classified stakes, but don't expect anything like that price this time around. It wasn't a great race and there'd be questions as to whether that form can be replicated, as she'd not shown a great deal previously. Fairly Honest has weight in hand over most, and broke his maiden tag at the 33rd time of asking in a poor race. Peter Hiatt does well here, and the in-form William Carson comes here for this one scheduled ride. It's not a great contest to get proceedings underway, and we'll be happy to side with Bold Diva.
