In depth

Verdict

Another trappy contest here with very little between many of the leading lights but the principals look to be Miss Saafend Plaza,Mandragola, Allaire, and Norman The Great and the tentative vote is given to Miss Saafend Plaza. The selection was a fair second behind Surrey Spinner last time out, that form sets the standard in the context of this race and she need only run up to that mark to score. Mandragola rates the main danger as he is a well bred type and ran with a modicum of ability on his debut, he is sure to have learnt from the experiance and will not be far away. Allaire hails from a yard in top form and this filly by Keltos should be monitored in the market. Norman The Great is another that has ran with promise but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect in handicaps over a longer trip and with this in mind for the winner we are happy to return to Miss Saafend Plaza.
