An interesting start to the Lingfield action and a number of these will be worth following in the weeks to come. None more so than EUSTON SQUARE, who showed he retains ability when finishing third at Newmarket on his reappearance last month. Makaam and Tryst are others to keep close to hand, while Learo Dochais and Mymumsaysimthebest are forwarded as the ones to complete the shortlist. Each of the last named have long absences overcome, though. Tryst ran with plenty of promise on debut last April; creating the impression he has what it takes to pay his way. However, he is bred to be effective over at least another couple of furlongs, so strikes as one to put on the back-burner for now. Makaam ran green on his debut but was really motoring once the penny dropped. He is expected to be step things up a notch today and will be a big threat to them all. However, Euston Square - a half-brother to July Cup winner Continent - looks a promising type for races of this nature and, with the benefit of a seasonal outing behind him, the son of Oasis Dream is taken as the sharpest option here.
