Verdict

PLUM PUDDING bounced back to form in good style last time out and is fancied to score at the expense of Mahadee and King Of Dixie. The other three are surely lovely horses but it's hard to make a case for any of them from a betting perspective. King Of Dixie has few miles on the clock and, having finished second in a Group 2 at Newmarket last season, he has little option but to try his hand in exalted company this term. He is set a stiff test today but has to be closely monitored for signs of strong support. Mahadee has plenty of experience and, having won for Jamie Spencer in the past, he is no forlorn hope. However, he has a bit to prove on the balance of form and Spencer will need to be at his tactical best to get this fellow home in front today. However, Plum Pudding ran up to his best last time out and, as he seems to be a revitalised character, the six-year-old is taken as the one to side with again today.
