Major Pop for Richard Fahey and Applaude who has won on the Leicester course before could feature in this race, but TIMOCRACY is the class act in this field and has won at Brighton and Lingfield recently. Despite turning out again after only a few days, Timocracy who was bought for 4,400 guineas after winning at Lingfield, is a cut above the other horses in this race. The ground is sure to suit and the trip shouldn't be a problem after winning over 10f beating Bussell Along by just under two lengths. Applaude will favour the going and can look for a place after finishing a decent third here behind Rocky's Pride earlier in the month. It would not surprise to see Applaude make up the minor honours. Pyrus Time has only ever won on the all weather and that was only once so it is difficult to see a win on the cards for the Ronald Harris trained gelding. Major Pop is from the Richard Fahey yard but he does not have the greatest of records at Leicester over the seasons and Major Pop has not feature in five races at a selection of course. It would take something special for Major Pop to pop up to win this one. Despite the disparities in weight, as long as Timocracy runs his own race he should comfortably score.
